All Items are hand forged, using the time-honored methods of forge,
anvil and hammer. These are simply the best made!
Kirby holds a warrant from Lord Lovat, chief of the Clan Fraser in Scotland,
and a warrant from the chief of the Irish Clan McMahon. He has several
pieces in various U.S. Park Service museums, in Mexico, and with collectors
both here and abroad.

Kirby is known as Zoltan Kovacs within the Society for Creative Anachronism,
and holds the Order of the Laurel, the SCA's highest Arts award, for his work.
Custom swords and other weaponry are Kirby's specialty, but we can make almost anything medieval and Renaissance. We do NOT make armor any more.

The shop also makes Celtic and Viking
jewelry, helmet crests, brass mounted walking sticks, hand-gonnes, buckles, .... what's your
pleasure? If it's not in the catalog, ASK US!

Please see this page for a pricing estimate. Prices are negotiable, and we will barter
for things we need, such as steel, antler, bone, leather, and other things
too. What do you have to trade?

|
In all transactions involving money, we require 50% down, with the balance due on completion of
the order. Money orders are preferred, as they speed things up. Personal cheques can take up to 20
working days to clear. Note that prices that we quote DO NOT include postage and/or insurance. This
is extra. We will let you know when you order what the shipping (parcel post or UPS) and insurance
costs will be.
All items are made by hand, and thus will require time to make or build. We try to get orders
out in 4 to 12 weeks as our work load allows or depending on the complexity of the item. Special items
may take longer, however, and we will not sacrifice quality for speed.
Any item can be especially decorated in brass inlay, cut work and so forth.
Ask to see examples of our custom work!

Items may vary from catalog pictures, as they are all hand-made. No two are
exactly alike. All prices subject to change without notice. All sales are
final. We do not do "fantasy" work, but ask us about our "neo-celtic" swords!
We don't make modern swords that masquerade as medieval / Renaissance blades. We make
THE REAL THING. These are as close to period replicas as you can get ... and many museums feel the same
way. Look for the "anvil and K" mark on the blade ..... when you see that, you know it's a KIRBY.
Ask about Kirby's songs, too!
The shop address is Mile Post 33 / Highway 72, Bouse, Arizona. Come by and see
us .... but contact us first!
